Jewellery, historically, is a personal and sentimental medium. Many objects were created in the form of miniature representations of landscapes and icons and reminded people of journeys and experiences.
Kirsten Haydon travelled to Antarctica as a New Zealand Antarctic Arts Fellow in 2004/5. Since that time she has been exploring the depiction of this landscape.
