Laura Deakin
Laura Deakin completed her Masters degree at Monash University in Melbourne before travelling to Munich to study at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste, where she still lives. She is the recipient of several major international prizes, including the BKV Prize for Young Applied Arts in 2007 and the Bavarian State Prize for Emerging Designers in 2010.
Her first solo exhibition, ‘layered traces, folded spaces’ was held at Gallery Funaki in 2011.
