David Phillips
David Phillips’ work is characterised by finely executed, technical designs coupled with a keen sense of play. Often working with industrial materials, his approach fuses low tech and high tech. Often, his pieces strike up a dialogue with their owners, eg. his popular light brooch ‘when it’s on it’s ON!’ of 2003.
David completed his Masters at Monash University in Melbourne before moving to Munich to study at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste where he still lives.
